Marathon
We are
designing, with New Balance Delaware, a special technical shirt with multi
color logo to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. Crown Trophy has also
designed a new finisher medal for the marathon runners. Finisher
certificates showing lap times and chip time are available upon request
(prior year’s are still available too!). Just
email
us and we’ll print it and send it out to you.

Aztec Printing will provide the "Memo from a Delaware Marathoner" memo
pads.
Christiana Care Health
System and Dri-Release by Optimer will provide all participants with a
pair of co-branded running socks.
Runners food is provided under our large hospitality tent. Just outside
the tent is a seated hospitality garden. Our post race refreshments
include Michelob Ultra Beer, Grotto Pizza, Herr Snacks, DelMonte Fresh
Fruit, Pretzel Boys Soft Pretzels, Subway Sandwiches, Canada Dry Soft
Drinks, Hy-Point Dairy Farms Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Pine Mountain
Spring Water
Live bands and entertainment are on the route and play for everyone’s
enjoyment at our hospitality garden.
Race
Vendors
are
also on display from Noon – 5:00 on Saturday and 5:45 until Noon on
Sunday. In 2007, National Running Center, New Balance Delaware, Team
in Training, Girlfriend Gear, Delaware Chiropractic, Leventhal Weight
Loss, PPP Africa, and Pro Supplement Zone joined the
Delaware Marathon as Vendors.
Other Items of Interest
The
News Journal will publish the results of the entire
marathon field on Monday, May 19, 2008. All Relay Teams will also be
listed. Alert your family, friends and co-workers that your name, place,
time, age, city and state may be in the newspaper. Complete results of
the marathon and relay will also be mailed to you over the Summer in
special inserts provided by
Runner's Gazette and
Race Packet
Our
“All You Can Eat” Not For Runners Only Pre-Race Carb
Party will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at
Catherine Rooney's on Delaware Ave at DuPont Street. The
cost of the party is $15 and is paid at the door. The party is hosted by
our friends at the Pike Creek Valley Running Club and Team in Training.

Limited transportation from the official race hotels to the race Sunday
morning will be made available. Limited transportation from the event
finish back to the official race hotels will also be made available. This
service is provided by the
Christiana Care Transportation Department.
