Thank you for your
interest in the 2008 Delaware Marathon
4 Person Relay Race - start time 7:05 am
Relay teams are
four-person teams with each member running one loop.
The relay field will
be limited to 150 four-person teams.
Each relay team must select a team name. Teams and their team
members will be
posted on the web site.
If registering by mail, relay teams must register together. All four
entry forms must be
received together with the combined entry fee of $120. If
registering on-line with active.com, the relay team captain may register the team, pay the combined
entry fee
and return later to complete the information on the other team members.
If the relay field is not filled by
April 30, 2008, relay team registrations will be accepted at a fee of
$160. Corporate Teams are $200 prior to April 30,
2008.

Once registered, it
does not matter to the Race Organizers, the actual running order of the
team. However, the order listed on the website and pre race tables will be
the running order provided to the timing Company at registration.
Email
us if you want your relay runners listed
in a specific order.
One member of the
relay team must pick up the race packets for all its team members. Each
relay team member will receive an individual race packet and a race
number. However, only one "Winning Time ankle band / chip" will be given to
each team. Also, the person completing the fourth relay segment will wear
the race number with the tear off tag. This is how the race organizers know a
team is on its fourth leg.
Relay
team race numbers will be a different color from the marathoners.
You will be required to wear a
race tag on back of your shirts that say RELAY.
A relay team
transition area will be established and timing
mats will be placed along the course. You must cross
the timing mats to be accurately scored. Relay members will share one
"Winning Time ankle band / chip" and will exchange the band, from member to member, in the
relay “transition area”. The "Winning Time ankle band / chip" will be removed by the race
organizers after the final team member crosses the finish line.
