The race honors John M. Scharp, who lost his battle with a rare form of sarcoma in April 2014. Scharp was the owner of the Geico local office and an avid supporter of USO Delaware. He served on the advisory council and assisted with many fundraisers and events to benefit the local branch of the USO. This race will honor his legacy by donating all proceeds to USO Delaware. Race Time
7:30am- Registration opens
8:30am- Race start
Early packet pickup and late registration will be on Friday, May 13th from 5pm to 7pm at the Lighthouse in Ruddertown.

Entry Info
Register online – click here (Online registration closes the Thursday before the race at noon)
Register by mail – universal entry form (John M. Scharp Memorial Geck-Go 5K, c/o Races2Run, PO Box 24, Montchanin, DE 19710). Make checks payable to “USO Delaware”.
Entry fee-
Regular- $25 pre-registration (until the Thursday before the race at Noon) / $30 after and day of event
Miltitary- $20 pre-registration (until the Thursday before the race at Noon) / $25 after and day of event
