Within the past
couple years, several of
our family members
and friends have
been diagnosed or
lost their battle
with one of the
following
cancers: thyroid,
breast, prostate,
colon,
endometrial, renal
cell, and lung
cancer.
Sadly, our
beloved Steven
Owens lost his
short battle with
lung cancer in
April 2011.
Unfortunately, the
word Cancer is for
some people just
that – a horrible
word, something
that people have
heard of and know
about, but often
times not given a
second thought
until Cancer
strikes home.
This event
isn’t just to
raise money to
help win the
battle against
Cancer, but more
importantly to
raise awareness of
its effects. It
is for family,
loved ones,
friends,
co-workers,
teammates, and
everyone else this
disease has
touched upon.
