The Delaware Victims’ Rights Task Force is made up of people who work in the criminal justice arena (police, prosecution, compensation) and at social service agencies with victims and survivors of violent crime   the state of DE.  The DVRTF strives to improve the response to victims of violent crime, bring awareness to victim rights and supports prevention efforts to end violence. 

Race Time:   6:30 pm (registration opens at 5:30 pm)

Purpose:        To promote, educate, and bring public awareness to National Crime Victims Rights week.

Benefits:      The Wilson Walk was started to benefit the Brain Aneurysm Foundation & to raise awareness in DE about this silent killer.  
                     When you ask around  almost every one in our area knows someone who has had, or has been affected by a brain aneurysm,
                     but when you go on to ask them the signs or symptoms, most people know nothing.  Our main goal with the Wilson Walk is
                     to raise this awareness to everyone, to raise money for the BAF to continue their research and support, and to raise our spirits
                     in knowing that we may have saved a life.  The Wilson Walk is held each year, in honor of Mary Wilson-Kempski; wife, mother,
                    daughter, sister and friend who has put up one hell of a fight the past 14 years. Please visit www.bafound.org for more

Wilmington Christian School’s annual 5K Run/Walk celebrates the life of Mrs. Connie Dietrich, one of our Physical Education teachers, who lost her battle against cancer in 2002.  Mrs. Dietrich was loved and respected by all.  Her heart’s wish was that all families who desire Christian education for their children be able to afford it.  Proceeds from this event will benefit our Annual Fund as well as a donation to the American Cancer Society in Connie’s honor.
