Directions Benefits: Delaware National Guard and Reserve Foundation, a 501C3 non profit organization whose purpose is to provide financial assistance to Soldiers and families of soldiers who may be experiencing hardships. Also....Stockings for Soldiers will be on hand...please support this organization Sponsors: Corporation Service Company and & Plexus Fitness. Course: NEW 5k route measured by Chip Bixler starting behind Trolley Square with loop around the Brandywine. Course map Amenities: Tee-shirts to all participants plus post race party (with beer for those +21) and awards ceremony at Logan House. Last 5k in Race to the Finish Line Series. Chip Timing: This year Lin-Mark Computer Sports will utilize their new CHRONOTRACK Disposable Timing System. No other timing chip may be worn. One of the many goals of the ChronoTrack system is to simplify the timing process for athletes. A single-use tag eliminates the need for several organizational choke points that allow the athletes to spend more time focusing on their competition and less time waiting in lines. Shorter lines before the race to pick up your bib and chip and no line to return your tag or chip afterward are just some of the benefits to the ChronoTrack system. The D-tag is easy to attach your shoe and is far lighter and less intrusive than other timing tags and chips. Once the D-tag is attached to your shoe, you will quickly forget that it is even there! No transferring of assigned chips is permitted, as they are computer coded to your race number and to your personal race day data (event, age, gender, etc.). Awards: Special awards to overall male and female run winners and first three finishers in each age category. 5 year age groups for 10k 18 under through 70 +. Ten year age groups for 5k 13 under through 70 over.
